Performance of Human Resource Department of a Higher Education Institution

Abstract

This study used descriptive research design to determine the performance of Human Resource Department of Core Gateway College, Inc. A total of 82 full time teaching employees from Basic Education to College Department served as the respondents of the study. The study found that the ages of the respondents ranged from 22-61 years old. Majority of them were female, single, college graduate, and with a 1-2 years in service. The performance of HR Department was described as strongly agree. Findings revealed that the problems encountered by the respondents on HR Department include limited opportunities for professional growth and development, and inadequate training or resources for managing difficult student behaviors. Some recommendations were made to improve employee development and satisfaction.
